Ever since I began studying media design, my family and friends have always come to me for help with designing their own projects. My most recent project that I worked on was for a conference being held at my church. Abide and Become is a new ministry that was started this year, and the first conference ever was held last weekend. I was asked to create a logo for the ministry, an invitation for the conference, and any other media that I felt would be useful.
I started by creating the logo. The team asked me to create a logo that represents path, growth, community, youth, servant, and maturity. The creation of the logo was definitely a team effort, with ideas being bounced back and forth, and lots of disagreements, but I did end up creating something that everyone was satisfied with.
After the logo was finalized, I started working on the invitation. I was being very rushed to create this one because we didn’t realize how soon the conference was coming up, and we needed to get the invite out to people early enough so they could plan.

The invitation did take longer to design than I would like to admit. I ended up redoing the entire thing at least 3 times, and lots of changes were requested from the rest of the team, but here is the final invitation that was sent out to all the youth.
You can see the logo up at the top of the invite. It contains a lot of hidden messages when examined closely. It is a tree symbolizing growth made up of smaller branches that are used to symbolize us abiding in Christ, so we can become like Him. There are also 9 leaves, which is the same number as the number of fruits of the spirit.
The stickers and bookmarks were a lot easier to design once I already had the logo and the overall vibe of the ministry media decided on. The stickers are very simple. I just converted the logo to white and put it on a green background. I’ve attached the PDFs of both the sticker and the bookmark below.
