My photography class has been getting me out of my comfort zone recently. For one of my assignments, I needed to photograph a complete stranger with their permission. I am usually good at talking to strangers, so I don’t know why this was so difficult for me. I decided that downtown would be the best place to find someone new. I was walking down Phillips Avenue this morning, and a sweet old couple was walking by, so I stopped them and snapped a photo. They were really nice, and the woman even left her email for me to send the photo to her. It was also perfect because I needed a photo of a car from a worm’s eye view, and a really nice car parked right in front of us when we were talking, and the couple knew the guy in the car. I didn’t even mention that I wanted to get a photo of his car, but the man I took a photo of immediately said hi to him and asked him if it was ok if I could take a photo of his car. He said yes, of course, and I was like alright. I don’t know why the guy asked him because he didn’t even know, but it worked out perfectly for me.
